Today (Monday 19th October '15), we had our first form of feedback for the Product Design Project unit in the form of a 'pin-up' session, where we bring in what we've done so far and present it to our tutors and peers to gain valuable feedback. This feedback was especially imperative as we have our first interim presentation next week with The Car People present.
Today I discussed the research I had obtained and recorded on my blog, the questions and questionnaires I had gotten feedback on, the areas of interest I had in mind as well as some initial ideas in the form of rough sketches.
Overall Feedback
Mike seemed to like that I had done some primary research and sketches based on personal experiences I have had throughout my life that involved cars. He and some other peers suggested locking in on one particular area of interest and then expanding on ideas based on that.
Tasks for Next Session
Next week we have our first presentation to The Car People and therefore to make sure I have a lot of information they will hopefully be impressed with I will:

Tasks for Next Session
Next week we have our first presentation to The Car People and therefore to make sure I have a lot of information they will hopefully be impressed with I will:
- Choose a single subject area (Family/Family Recreational Holidays/Family Shopping/Groceries)
- Create a persona to fit this subject area
- Create a new questionnaire based solely on the new subject area
- Get a range of feedback on this area from both drivers and passengers
- Improve on 'trolley' concept
- Sketch out new concepts (e.g. mechanism to prevent falling asleep at the wheel)
- Email people related to subject area
- Collect all information to put in PowerPoint for presentation next week
