Yesterday we had our second 'pin-up' session to narrow down our brief direction before next weeks table meeting with The Car People.
I had produced a great quantity of sketches drawing up concept ideas. Although I had seem to solve the issue of the mechanics of getting the trolley in and out of the car, I was having a real issue stylising a trolley concept. I couldn't seem to get away from making it look like a typical shopping trolley or stay away from the box-like design. For ones where I strayed from the trolley shape and tried to make it suited for the car, I ended up making them look too stylised so that they would be more suited for some brand of cars than the others. I voiced these problems I was having to Mike and the group and received some useful feedback.

Feedback
- Mike suggested to not get too focused on making it suitable for certain cars and car shapes as we want the product to be universal and fit into all cars. A future concept could be a car company making the car trolley there USP which would need to be stylised for the car but that is an after thought
- He also said to not get so caught up on the 'bog standard' trolley shape and focus on other elements such as different shapes other than square and different materials such as fabrics
- He suggested looking at existing trolley concepts
- Grace suggested looking at what the trolley do when it's in the car not being used for groceries and how it can be used instead
- Sammy said to look at how the groceries would be moved to the house if the trolley didn't fit through the doorway
- Look at existing trolley concepts
- Design the bottom dip for the car as well as the trolley
- Look at different shapes of trolley
- Add in baskets or removable parts
- Look at jobs for the trolley when not in use
- Look at using different materials such as fabric
